So far I've just worn them around the house to break them in a bit (having sized down because an older pair of Old West boots in my normal size have gotten too lose to wear with anything but heavy socks). I couldn't be happier with them, especially given the great price I paid for them. Old West makes a nice-quality boot for a reasonable price with a leather upper and leather sole. My feet are narrow, so I would call these true to size. I normally wear a 9.5 in a closed-toe shoe/boot, and the 9 in these with the snip toe are just slightly snug, which is what I wanted, to accommodate the normal stretching that will occur in a leather boot. They're super cute too!
