The look is great and the harness makes it stand out. It is removable if that doesn't appeal to you, or when it's time to clean them up. They're labeled as black but they're more of a washed out color which is what I wanted, rather than a dark black boot with tan. There's no real need for a break I'm period as they are very comfortable out the box and will only form better with time. The quality shouldn't be in question due to the brand so we'll see with time.

These boots are very high quality and are more striking than the pictures depict. They look like they just came off months on the trail.
