What Items Can I Return?
For the sake of simplicity, a "return" indicates the ability to return for a refund, return for store credit, or exchange an item. There are three different types of listings/products that vary in the ability to be returned. Please review the differences below before purchasing, and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out!

Final Sale Items - Items that CANNOT be returned after purchase
- These items are mostly known as "Clearance" items, and can be found in the clearance section, here: https://www.thewesterncompany.com/collections/clearance
- The products are items for orders that were cancelled, are being discontinued, or were returned to us in new condition, with tags and packaging intact.
- They are one-off listings for specific sizes, and should all have the size noted in the title
- The Products are often heavily discounted - which is the main reason we do not accept returns on them.
- As shown in the example below, they are denoted with a highlighted message under the shipping, near the top - as well as a further highlighted message below, detailing the Clearance Section -
Coverage-Required Items
- These items are not returnable or exchangeable unless you also purchase the REDO return coverage at checkout.
- These are NEW items, priced at the retail price - and coming straight from the manufacturer. In other words, they have never been worn, ordered, or returned - as opposed to many of the clearance items.
- These are items that have a higher return rate, are being discontinued, or are often abused as "rental" items - with customers taking advantage of our return policy limits.
- Customers who do purchase the REDO return protection on these items, will have the same ability to return them as our "regular" items.
- Below, you can see these items have the same type of highlighted message at the top of the listing, noting the need for coverage if you would like the ability to return. Below that picture shows the area at checkout, where you may opt in or out of the coverage:

Regular Items
- Everything else on our site, aside from a few exceptions (such as gift cards), full under our standard return policy - which can be found here: https://www.thewesterncompany.com/pages/returns-exchanges-2024
- Our website consists of about 98% Regular items and <2% Clearance/Final Sale/Coverage-Required items - so most items are "regular" listings.
- These items may ALL be returned within our return window, but it is important to note that opting in for REDO coverage is still the most optimal decision, if you have any expectation that you may need to return an item.
- Customers who do not purchase the protection on these listings will be responsible for the return shipping label, and will be required to pay a 15% restocking fee on any items returned.

Other Information
- REDO coverage will not be offered on Clearance items, so there is no way you will pay for the coverage on items that cannot be returned. However, if your cart includes multiple items, some of which can be returned - you will still receive the prompt to purchase the protection if you need, for the items that qualify.
- REDO Coverage is never refunded, unless an order is cancelled before it ships. Once an item has shipped with the REDO Coverage, it is a fee that will not be reimbursed.
