I was initially hesitant to buy from The Western Company due to online reviews I had read about the timeliness of packages being sent after purchase. This prevented me from buying a shirt as gift as could not rely on the date of delivery being before the event. I decided to try after seeing the item had an 'approximate' date of shipping (it was actually shipped 2 days after the estimated date).When the product arrived the box was so badly damaged, torn and actually wet (it had not been raining) that I was really concerned. Luckily the item was packed in a plastic bag within the box. A few minor marks on the bag itself which I have polished with Bicks leather cleaner and conditioner, and it has helped. The bag itself is very nice, its tri-colour, cognac with a red base, brown handles and feather accent. Size is just what I was after. As I do prefer independently owned stores to large chains I will most likely purchase again, the only improvement I would suggest is and update or provide a tracker to show customers you are actually working on their purchase.
